From field to fork
It's quite simple: Delicious beetroot begins at the very beginning and therefore healthy growing is more important than anything else. Our land in the province of Flevoland in the Netherlands is especially suitable for that, as the land, which was surrounded by water a hundred years ago, is very fertile. Through plants rotating on a yearly basis, a natural balance of the soil is maintained. That's how we ensure that the soil continues to stay healthy and full of nutrients. By the way, beetroot is sowed as of mid-March. In this way, it can be harvested from the beginning of July until the end of October.
Within a distance of our farm in Zeewolde we don't only grow the beetroot, but also process it to a great extent. That's how unnecessary miles can be prevented and by-products like the skin can immediately be reused as healthy, delicious and colourful animal feed. Yes, even cows do love beetroot!
As soon as we're sure that the products meet our high-quality standards, they continue their journey to the shelves and eventually onto your plate.
